In improv, and in life. Our goal is to be the best we can at what we do, so our audience can be the best at what they do...and that is to listen, observe, interact, and enjoy.
It's simple.
It's Great fun.
It's life.

In Edinburgh Scotland

My fellow Recycled Minds buddy, Heath Harmison, and I recently returned from Scotland during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. We want to throw a BIG shout out to all of you that came and supported us, and came to our "Oh to Scotland" Fundraiser Show. You guys helped Heath and I raise around $1000 to go. Thank you!
After some time in front of the Edinburgh audiences we also had some down time to do white water rafting just miles from the Highlands.
We then went to Spain where we experienced something you may describe as magic. The sunshine, Mediterranean sea and the late nights. The warm air and soft hanging lights in the evening combined with kicking across smooth stones from the shore make it feel otherworldly. Well, as for us Americans, it was another world. But, there was something familiar about it, heavenly, even spiritual.
It's moments like this where you feel blessed to be doing an art form that takes you to different places, to experiencing things you would love to do.
I guess that’s a kind of goal in life: to do the things you love to do.
Of course, it almost always takes stepping outside of the norm to do so. And, you almost always are learning new things about the world around you and about yourself.
I’m thankful for Improv as an art form and the friends I have met along the way.
I’ve discovered that when you say “yes and” in life, the results are similar to when you do it in improv. You progress the scene, you make others look better, and you end up doing something that is worth watching, worth being a part of.
And the end goal… it’s a life worth living.
It’s the kind of thing you have to look up and say, “wow, thank you.”
Thanks to all of you who helped Comedy for a Cure raise nearly $20,000 for the Msti Kids (Mountain State Tumor institute).
